Like many others, I’m thankful for your postings. I have been on sotret for 30 days now, and am on the same regimen you were (40 mg daily x 1 mo, now upped to 60 mg daily). I feel like my skin has improved, but I still experience a breakout here and there. I guess all I can do is be patient and adhere to the regimen, right?

I’m Scarred out of my mind… My son is getting ready to start his regimon on sotret.They started him on 60 mg a day all at once, and he’s only 126lbs and 5′6. 17 years old. He really does have severe acne , but as a mother, I hope someone can understand my concern!! He has to take his first dose today and I’m petrified.. How do I reaqct or whatch for the things that will happen?? Signed the mother who loves her son more than life…

My son started 7 days ago also.. I was and still am scarred of the side effects etc. I pray it work, because I know how bad he wants it gone!

My son has been on Sotret since October 17th. I am getting impatient, I thought by now his skin would look better. He started out with 40mg and now is at 60mg. It still looks pretty bad. Do you guys have any suggestions for him. I was thinking about asking the derm to put him on the real stuff.
Does this drug work for everyone???
